Russell Watson has spoken angrily about not being booked to perform for this year's Olympics.
The tenor revealed that he "can't understand" why he hasn't been asked to perform at the opening ceremony of the London games after surviving two brain tumours.
During an interview with entertainment website DigitalSpy, the singer spoke about what else he would like to achieve in his career, saying:
"The Olympics please!
"What I can't understand is why they haven't thought of having a bloke that's survived two f**king brain tumours, who's the best-known tenor in the UK and has been around for ages and can sing like I can sing to perform at the Olympics."
He added:
"It's exactly the same with the Jubilee - there's a lot of ambiguity around that and the Olympics. We'll wait and see I suppose."
Watson also took aim at The Voice UK, saying:
"I think there are too many talent shows on TV...but I wish there was more television shows that were geared up to artists who already have careers.
"There are so many f**king shows about people who want to be famous, but there is so much talent in this country with no vehicle to show what theyÂ’re doing."
