Russell Crowe has boasted about his latest single - by posting fan mail from famous musicians on his website.
The 'Gladiator' actor, whose single 'Raewyn' is released next week on iTunes, has proudly published letters from Billy Bragg and Sting.
In a letter to the Hollywood star, Bragg says the song: "Brought my morning to a halt, leaving me gazing out at the winter sun to the ocean."
Sting describes Crowe as "enigmatic" and thanks the star for sending him the track.
He says: "Beautiful photographic images, a surprisingly tender voice and I'm touched you would send it to me."
But the former Police frontman is not optimistic of the song's success.
He adds: "Will it make it on the radio? Not a chance. The days of the confessional autobiography are over and not even you, Mr Crowe, can bring that back."
Russell, who last month split from his band 30 Odd foot of Grunts, recently claimed the song was so moving it instantly reduced people to tears.
He said: "It's the only tune I have ever written that has made both men and women cry, think and call their parents."
