The name of the new Royal Baby has been revealed, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their son George Alexander Louis, Kensington Palace stated.
This news came on Wednesday, 24th July, 2013. The new Prince will be styled as HRH Prince (name) of Cambridge.
The new Prince, who was born on Monday, has been visited by his father’s brother, Prince Harry, and his mother’s sister Pippa Middleton. The Queen has also visited her great-grandson.
Before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son left St. Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall and Kate’s parents Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton visited.
After leaving St. Mary’s Hospital in London the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their son to Kensington Palace for the night.
It is believed they went to Bucklebury following this - to Kate’s family home there.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son is third in line to the throne.
So far there have been six King Georges, including the Queen’s father. Prior to yesterday’s announcement there was much speculation as to what name would be given to the royal baby boy.
He made his first public appearance on Tuesday, and while the Duchess of Cambridge was holding the new Prince, he seemed to give what looked like a royal wave.
Following this many people commented on the social network site Twitter using #royalwave.
