Robert Mugabe has been sworn in as Zimbabwe's President. This will mark Mr. Mugabe’s seventh term as Zimbabwe's leader.
A public holiday was announced for Thursday 22nd August, 2013. This day marks the ceremony. The holiday was decided upon to let supporters of Mr. Mugabe attend this.
The results of the vote for presidency were that Mr. Mugabe, who is 89 years old, won 61per cent. Mr. Morgan Tsvangirai, 61 year old, had 34per cent.
Mr. Mugabe was first elected head of government in 1980.
