Actor Rhys Ifans has been arrested following an altercation with a female security guard.
The Notting Hill star got involved in a confrontation with the officer at a Comic-Con event in San Diego on 23 July, after members of his entourage were not allowed in.
According to US entertainment website TMZ, the 44-year-old then became "abusive, belligerent and aggressive', before shoving the guard.
The site also reported that Ifans smelt strongly of alcohol.
The officer then made a citizens' arrest and waited for the police to arrive.
Ifans was cited for misdemeanour battery and allowed to leave.
Rhys is at the world famous convention to promote his new film, The Amazing Spiderman, alongside his co-stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.
Ifans plays villain The Lizard in the movie, which is set for release in July next year.
