Research says 12 per cent of motorists prefer time with their cars than loved ones

Studies reveal that some motorists wait 3-12 months before they let their partners drive their cars...

A recent research conducted by MoneySupermarket, revealed fascinating information about motorists of our time. Based on their study, one in eight motorists would rather spend evenings, weekends, and days-off cleaning and driving their cars than spend it with people they love.

 

And if that’s not surprising enough, the same research confirms that the numbers are higher in the North East where 18per cent of motorists confirmed that they indeed put their cars before their partners.

 

It’s also revealed that men are more likely to do this compared to women. 

 

People from MoneySupermarket also concluded that Brits are becoming more and more over protective of their cars.

 

It was revealed that 5per cent of them would wait at least one year before they allow their loved ones to drive their cars.

 

Some, on the other hand, would wait for 3 months.

 

But for 1million drivers who participated on the research, they’ve decided to never let their partners drive their cars because the car is too precious for them (or because their partners are terrible drivers). 

 

If you think that’s extreme, you better think again. 1.6million drivers said that they’ll take revenge to their partner’s car, or would at least seriously think about it, if the relationship went wrong.

 

The top revenge methods according to the group, are the following: Scratch/damage the paintwork, let the tyres down, smash a window, damage the tyres, and leave messages/pictures in the dirt on the car windows.
