Polaroid brand, which is backing a real-life Instagram camera, may now have a great chance at getting back on the bandwagon. The camera, which was originally developed as a concept by Socialmatic, contains lens, touchscreen, and printer.
What’s more exciting is that it is specifically designed to look like the icon for Facebook’s photo sharing site.
The new camera is expected to hit the market next year. Users will be able to post their pictures online via 3G or WiFi. They can also print them or share them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Antonio De Rosa, CEO of Socialmatic is nothing but proud of the new product. He said: “We are so proud to work together with C & A and Polaroid, giants of digital photography.”
“It ‘s been a long and difficult negotiation but we were strongly motivated to reach an agreement to create a small revolution in digital photography.
“This mix of Hardware and Software, together with our brand new photo social network will fill the gap between virtuality and reality.”
