Rachel Hunter has ended her relationship with ice hockey player Sean Avery.

The sexy supermodel, who is divorcing ex-husband Rod Stewart, is believed to have called time on the year-long relationship because "it wasn't going anywhere".

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Rachel decided the relationship had run its course. They broke up last week but remain friends."

Just last week, Rachel, 35, who has two children from her marriage to rocker Rod, insisted her relationship with her 25-year-old lover was still on, saying: "I don't really talk about him, but yes. That's as far as I'm, going with this."

But a spokeswoman for the New Zealand-born model last night (20.06.05) confirmed the couple had ended their romance.

She said: "I can confirm that Rachel and Sean Avery have split up."

Rachel recently sparked rumours she was planning to wed Sean after being spotted wearing a huge ring.

The blonde babe has been previously linked with pop heartthrob Robbie Williams and Puddle of Mudd rocker Wes Scantlin.
