Some would argue that the 70s gave the world some of the greatest bands and songs ever to be released.

President Barack Obama would have to agree, after honouring Stevie Wonder (his musical hero) with Library of Congress Gershwin Prize in a ceremony at the White House.

Obama said the Motown legend had been the soundtrack to his youth and he doubted that his wife would have married him if he hadn't been a fan.
