The Queen may be missing her son's wedding, but the Mail on Sunday reports that there is one registry office ceremony that she will want to watch on April 8th.
The newspaper claims workers at Buckingham Palace have joked that the Queen will want Charles and Camilla's wedding reception to be finished in time for her to nip home and watch Coronation Street's Ken and Deirdre Barlow tie the knot.
"Her Majesty is a huge fan of Coronation Street," an unnamed royal source is quoted as telling the Mail on Sunday.
"She rarely misses it and it has been pointed out, only half-jokingly, that Deirdre and Ken Barlow's wedding is screening the same day that Charles and Camilla get married."
"It's an hour-long special and the Queen wants to be comfortably in front of the telly for the 19:30 GMT start," the aide added, stressing that the monarch is "really looking forward to watching Deirdre and Ken get married".
