Prince Philip misses Jubilee celebrations

Prince Philip remains at the King Edward VII Hospital in London, as the Diamond Jubilee celebrations draw to a close. 

The Duke of Edinburgh had accompanied the Queen on the river pageant on Sunday and no news was reported on his health during this parade, however, Prince Philip missed the Jubilee concert and the final day of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations due to a bladder infection. 

Buckingham Palace reported that Prince Philip has been admitted at the The King Edward VII Hospital on the basis of "precautionary measures". Prince Charles, during a moving tribute to his mother at the close of last nights concert, mentioned his Father by saying, "The only sad thing about this evening is that my Father couldn't be with us because, unfortunately, he was taken ill but if we shout loud enough he might hear us in hospital". Thousands pray for him to recover soon
