Prince Philip, who had surgery on his abdomen two months ago, will resume carrying out official engagements starting on August 12th.
The 92-year-old prince will present medals at the independent educational charity at the Royal Society of Edinburgh before going to Balmoral to join the Queen for their annual summer break, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
However, the Prince will have to wait until next month to meet his great-grandson Prince George when it is believed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will go on their first family holiday at the Royal family’s Aberdeenshire retreat, as reported by The Telegraph.
Prince Philip underwent planned surgery on his abdomen on June 7th.
It is believed he has been at Sandringham re-gaining his strength following this.
