Prince Harry’s successful US tour has ended with a charity polo match, which the Prince and his team won.
The Sentebale Polo Cup match, which was held in Greenwich Polo Club in Connecticut, helped raised £600,000 for charity. The money will be used to help people who are affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho.
Speaking in front of 400 guests, Prince Harry said: “This is the last day of my tour around the United States. Thank you for a wonderful week.
“I have witnessed the extraordinary generosity of the people of this great nation.”
During his 7-day visit to the US, Prince Harry met US First Lady Michelle Obama during a reception held for the military personnel’s family. He also laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Prime Minister David Cameron, who was on separate visit to the US, joined the Prince and encouraged more Americans to study, visit, and do business in Britain.
