Prince Charles has been having fun with Prince George and Princess Charlotte at his Gloucestershire home doing some gardening. Although he’s only two years old, Prince George is said to have been having a great time with his grandfather at his enormous gardens.
According to the guides, the siblings recently had a tea party in the grounds using plastic cups instead of precious royal porcelain. In a quite corner of a wild flower meadow, there is also a shepherd’s hut that Charles was given to mark George’s first birthday, which the toddler already enjoyed playing in.
Prince Charles has also refurbished an ornate tree house, which was once a favourite place of their father, Prince William and uncle, Prince Harry.
Every year, Highgrove receives about 40,000 visitors. The proceeds from the tours are used for the Prince’s charities.
A topiary elephant box hedge is the newest addition to the enormous garden. The large frame was found by the Duchess of Cornwall and is a tribute to her brother Mark Shand, with the entrance gate to the garden also named after him.
