On Sunday, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, began the Diamond Jubilee tour of Australia. Once the Prince started mingling with the locals, he felt confident about making jokes using the local lingo, by saying: “I feel a few sausages short of a barbie!” while talking about his jetlag.
The Prince was supposedly photographed with sausage-like fingers after his 23-hour flight to Australia. According to a report by the Mail Online, one GP said the possible causes could include sunburn and arthritis.
Despite his sausage-like fingers, the Prince, along with his wife, seemed to be enjoying their time down under. Camilla, who’s a first-time visitor to Australia, held a kangaroo wrapped in a towel.
Reportedly, she was also given the full Outback experience, met some flying doctors and joined in with a local “barbie”.
Meanwhile, with regards to his Australia experience, Prince Charles is quoted by the Mail Online saying: “I’m so pleased our visit could begin here in rural Queensland. The Outback remains a source of fascination and respect.”
