BBC reporter Graham Satchell got emotional on live TV as he reported live from Paris. The father-of-three spoke about the aftermath of the terror attacks in front of one of the memorials in the city. He breaks down in tears as soon as he talked about the hope he has seen in the French capital following Friday’s massacre that left 129 dead.
His colleagues said that the attacks had been “distressing.”
Speaking to the camera, Mr Satchell said: 'The feeling here in Paris has certainly changed significantly since we arrived on Saturday when Paris was a ghost town.
'Last night it was incredibly busy. There were vigils here, there were vigils at the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower was lit up in red, white and blue, which I think is a sign of hope.'
As he was about to wrap it up, his voice began to crack and had to stop trying to compose himself. He then looked off camera and said, “’sorry, I’m so sorry.”
He then added: 'I will leave it there. There is certainly hope here in Paris.'
Meanwhile, social media praised Mr Satchell for his “honest reporting.” He was also described as 'a journalist showing the emotion of the tragedy'.
