The financial situation for many public workers looked bleak after an announcement that there would be only a 1% pay rise, but the murmurs that MPs could get a significant pay rise has the Prime Minister concerned about the message that would send to the public.
Things do not always seem to work out fairly, especially when it comes to financial status. There may be a few ways that you can improve your financial status if you get a little creative.
- Pawn shop—if you have things in your home that you no longer need or want, consider taking them to a local shop that can give you money for the items. This can help you avoid clutter, reduce stress, and pad your pocketbook. Not a bad way to improve your financial status!
- Hobbies—if you have a hobby that you love, consider turning it into something a bit more lucrative. Perhaps you could give individual or even group lessons. Maybe people would like to purchase the products you make online, or at a local shop. Thinking about your strengths may yield some impressive ways to strengthen your financial status, while still doing something you love.
- Certificate—you might be able to receive special training to obtain a certificate in any number of areas of study. The certificate might be able to ensure that you receive a pay rise, which always helps improve financial status, even if the amount of the rise is small.
- Energy efficient—if you have a home, you may qualify to have it converted to sustainable energy that will lower your bill, all without any upfront cost. In addition to that, you may also receive payments in the future if your environmentally-friendly set-up generates revenue for the energy company.
There may be many other ways to improve your financial status legally so brainstorm and speak with friends and relatives for more ideas.
