Swedish popstar Basshunter has been charged with sexually assaulting two female fans.
The DJ, whose biggest hit was Now YouÂ’re Gone, was charged by Fife Constabulary after a complaint was made in a Scottish nightclub.
Twenty-five-year-old Basshunter, real name Jonas Erik Altberg, has been released on bail but will appear in court next month.
He had been performing in Glasgow on Saturday, when the allegations were made, and has since returned to Sweden.
His manager, Scott Simons, has said that the allegations are “totally untrue” and that Basshunter will comply with the police investigation.
The DJ is also well known for his stint in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. His relationship with Katia Ivanova, ex-girlfriend of Ronnie Wood, made his stay a little more entertaining.
His last single, Saturday, released in July, reached No. 21 in the charts.
