Peaches Geldof died after an overdose of heroin

Toxicology report at her inquest reveals that Peaches Geldof died of heroin overdose just like her mother, Paula Yates.

Mother-of-two Peaches Geldof died of the same cause as her mother, Paula Yates. The inquest to her sudden death will reveal that the 25-year old model, writer, and TV presenter died of a heroin overdose in a tragic echo of her own mother's demise. 

 

Two days after her sudden, unexpected death, a post-mortem examination was held but proved inconclusive so a toxicology test was ordered. 

 

The hearing will be opened and adjourned by North West Kent Coroner Roger Hatch at Gravesend Old Town Hall.

 

Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches died on April 7 at the home she shared with her husband, musician Tom Cohen and their two young children. At the time of the death, Peaches was looking after her 11-month old son Phaedra.  

 

The last pictures she posted hours before she died were of her mother holding her as a youngster. 

 

Her funeral was held in the village of Davington – at the same church as her mother’s. Celebrities including Jaime Winstone, Kate Moss, and Jools Holland were in attendance.
