Paris Hilton has been charged with drunk-driving.
The 'House of Wax' actress was arrested in the early hours of September 7 while driving her silver Mercedes-Benz "erratically" in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles police.
If found guilty Paris could face a $1,000 fine and/or six months in jail.
However, Lawrence Taylor, an attorney who specialises in handling DUI cases, thinks she will get off lightly.
He revealed: "I'd be very surprised if she does any jail time.
"If she pleads guilty, she'd likely pay a fine, attend DUI school and be on probation for three years."
At the time of her arrest, Paris' spokesman Elliot Mintz said: "Paris regrets the entire event. She had never been arrested before, so to go through the police procedure was very disorienting for her. It was personally humiliating. She is not taking it lightly or frivolously."
At the time of the incident, Paris was on her way back from a charity event with Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart.
Later that morning, Paris called Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Los Angeles KISS FM radio station claiming she hadn't eaten anything the day of her arrest, drank just one margarita at an event that evening and was driving to a fast food restaurant when she was stopped.
