Former Lostprophets singer and currently incarcerated paedophile Ian Watkins has filed to have his sentence appealed.
Watkins previously admitted to 13 offences which saw him receive a custodial term of 29 years backed with an extra six years on licence. He is now seeking to challenge that decision.
Watkins sexually abused a fan’s 11-month old baby and attempted to have sex with the child. The singer also asked another fan to abuse her own child during a webcam chat. He also kept and made child porn videos.
Sentencing the 36-year-old at his trial, judge Mr Justice Royce told the singer: "Those who have appeared in these courts over many years see a large number of horrific cases. This case, however, breaks new ground.
"I am satisfied that you are a deeply corrupting influence, you are highly manipulative, you are a sexual predator, you are dangerous. The public and, in particular, young females need protection from you."
However, Watkins has been told that he will have to serve two thirds of his custodial jail term before he can be considered for release.
He has been transferred to Long Lartin prison near Evesham to be closer to his ill mother. The prison also houses Charles Bronson and paedophile Ian Huntley.
