P Diddy changes name

Rap superstar P Diddy has announced that he is changing his name to 'Swag', but for one week only.

The chart-topping rapper, real name Sean Combs, revealed on YouTube that he was temporarily adopting his new identity to celebrate recovering from the flu.

In the clip, he is seen with his friends announcing his name change and telling them to call him 'Swag':

"I was sick for a week, and I had a lot to think about when I was almost dying underneath the covers with a fever.

"But I'm not dead, I am alive, so I decided that I'm gonna change my name for a week, in honour of my comeback.

"I'm not going as Puff, Puffy, Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Diddy, King Combs - for this week only, you can call me by my new name Swag."

He has also set up a new Twitter account under his new name, announcing to his followers:

"Allow me to re-introduce myself - I am Swag!"

P Diddy has already undergone a number of name changes during his career, including Puff Daddy, Puffy and Diddy.

His latest alter-ego already has 18,000 followers on Twitter.
