Online gambling: Controversies and irregularities

There are so many questions about online gambling and it seems that until now, no straight answers have been found.

Online gambling is a type of gambling done via the internet. Players have the options to play online casino, race betting, sports betting, online bingo, online poker, and even electronic stock trading.

For so many years, online gambling is thought to be one of the world’s most popular hobbies, particularly in the United States it seems. In addition, this industry can make billions of pounds every year.

However, there are so many concerns about online gambling. First and foremost, it’s not regulated. Although there are some laws about it, these are not strictly reinforced.

For example, although there is Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in place, hundreds and thousands of people are still gambling online. To date, there is nobody persecuted from doing this.

Also, there are several reports wherein players’ credit cards were used illegally.

Due to very lenient regulations, more and more online gambling sites are believed to coming out on a weekly basis. In addition, more and more people from across the globe are being lured to this vice, and it isn’t healthy.
