The Ocean Portal http://ocean.si.edu/ focuses on anything and everything that has to do with the ocean starting from everyday organisms, unusual organisms, ocean inspired art, energy, sustenance, the flora and fauna, the earth, and the connectivity to the most mysterious ecosystems as they are witnessed by the researchers who have devoted their lives to performing these explorations.

 

The Ocean Portal joins hands with the Sant Marine Science Chair and the National Museum of Natural History’s Sant Ocean Hall to help enlighten the public on the wonders of the deep sea. 

 

Where you live doesn’t really matter; whether it’s far away from the coast or near it, you can still join others to take positive action in a bid to protect the ocean which has been proven to cover over 70% of the planet.
