William Hague, the British Foreign Secretary does not believe that North Korea is preparing for an all out conflict. In fact, he said that the communist county is just “bluffing.”
Mr Hague urged the world to stay calm and revealed that 30-year-old dictator Kim Jong-un of North Korea has not made any major troop movements. However, he believes that there was a danger over Pyongyang’s confrontation with the US because its leaders could make a “miscalculation” that could end up in war.
He added: “All the evidence is this rhetoric is about the North Korean regime justifying its existence rather than preparing for all out conflict.”
“But we haven’t seen the repositioning of forces that we might see before a military assault.”
“North Korea is enjoying the global media attention. We musn’t feed and respond to the rhetoric coming out of it every day.”
Previously, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged North Korea to rein in its nuclear threats warning that any miscalculation could lead to an extremely grave outcome.
Meanwhile, China, North Korea’s only international ally, also slapped down the isolated country saying that no country could be allowed to throw the region into the chaos for selfish gains.
