Corrie's Norris Cole is about to have a proposition he never expected - his ex-wife wants him to marry her.
And in true under-the-thumb fashion, the luckless lover finds himself talked into the idea, against all his better judgement.
You'd have thought Norris, played by Malcolm Hebden, would have learnt that Angela Hawthorne was bad news after he was forced to give up his luxury lifestyle following their split in 1999, but he finds himself back in familiar waters.
Norris' troubles begin when he bumps into stepson Neville Hawthorne, played by Mark Chatterton, after going for a job interview, the Daily Star reports.
Neville takes great delight in ribbing his stepdad and things get even worse for Norris when he is convinced to meet up with his former beau.
Angela jumps at the chance to see Norris once more, which unwisely he agrees to, and somehow talks him into remarrying her.
"It's just like old times," a Corrie insider told the Star.
"Angela has not changed one bit and orders Norris about from the start. He is totally under the thumb."
Surely Norris will see the error of his ways before it's too late
