One of the most popular television shows of the 90s is set to make its big screen debut without its leading man.
It appears that David Hasselhoff will not be involved in the Baywatch movie, as the studio looks for a completely new cast.
None of the stars that made their names saving LA's bathers from drowning in the iconic red swimsuits have been asked to appear in the film.
Last year, Hasselhoff joined the likes of Nicole Eggert, Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson in the TV movie Baywatch: The Reunion.
DreamWorks is said to have paid around $1.25 million (700,000) for the rights and has asked the show's creators to come on board as producers.
Baywatch the movie could be ready for cinema release in 2006.
