Nine helicopter victims’ names

Authorities has confirmed that the ninth body has been found after Glasgow helicopter crash.

On Friday, a helicopter has crashed into a pub as it was returning from an earlier operation, killing several people.

Police Scotland has named three dead helicopter crew earlier. The first identified casualties include the pilot, 51-year-old David Traill, 36-year-old Police Constable Kirsty Nelis, and 43-year-old Tony Collins. Later, the police confirmed that another six bodies where found. These include 56-year-old Samuel McGhee from Glasgow and 48-year-old Gary Arthur from Paisley. The police added that they are expecting to find more bodies.

Deputy Chief Constable Rose Fitzpatrick, said: "I can confirm that sadly a further body has tonight been located and removed from the scene."

She added: "Efforts are ongoing as we speak to establish the identity of the latest fatality. Our thoughts are with his family and friends tonight as they are with all those affected by this tragedy.”

Police Scotland's "absolute priority has been to locate the bodies of people who were within the pub at the time of the incident and recover them safely.”

"This process takes time as formal identification procedures have to take place before we can notify relatives and publicly confirm identities."
