Nicole Richie is the star of her father Lionel Richie's steamy new music video.

The 'Simple Life' star appears in the promo for her adoptive dad's new single, 'I Call It Love', alongside 'CSI' actor Adam Rodriguez.

In one scene, Nicole and Adam are pictured enjoying a passionate clinch in pouring rain.

The 24-year-old star - who wears a sexy black satin dress and is dripping with diamond jewellery in the video - plays a rich socialite who falls in love with a no-hoper.

Meanwhile, Nicole and her former best friend Paris Hilton were forced to meet at the end of the fourth series of 'The Simple Life'.

In the scene, the stars are shown sitting next to each other in silence, until Paris finally says: "Nicole, we need to talk", to which Nicole replies: "So talk".
