High street giant Next has recalled some of its children’s dressing gowns and robes over fire safety fears. Customers were told to not allow their children to use the said clothing effective immediately.
The recall affects product numbers 355933, 394242, 402567, 799768, 790152 and 936100.
The notice states: "Unfortunately, the cotton jersey hood lining used in the initial deliveries of these styles doesn't meet the stringent flammability requirement set out in the UK Nightwear (Safety) Regulations.
"We would therefore recommend that you immediately stop using them and contact us."
The statement adds: "We're very sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you'll understand that customer safety is a high priority for us."
