Newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky is expecting her second child, it has been revealed.
A spokesperson for the Five News reporter confirmed the pregnancy, saying she was "delighted" about the prospect of becoming a mother again.
An insider reportedly told The Sun: "She is obviously excited. She adores Arlo and loves being a mother.
"But she didn't expect to be pregnant so soon and realises her bosses had hoped she would stay longer before going off on maternity leave again. She had planned to wait at least a year so she could get her career on track.'
The former Strictly champion returned from maternity leave in February, following the birth of her son Arlo with husband Justin Bower last September.
Kaplinsky had controversially announced that she was expecting her first child only six weeks into her new role at the Channel Five newsdesk, following a much publicised move from the BBC in which she reportedly took a seven-figure contract.
Since returning Kaplinsky has taken a reduced role, dropping the 7pm news bulletin and taking a £300,000 pay cut to spend more time with her son.
