Max Bygraves, a well-known name in the British entertainment industry, passed away at the age of 89 at his daughter's house in Australia. He was battling the Alzheimer's disease.
He enjoyed immense success as a singer, comedian, film star and quiz show host during his 50 years career in the entertainment industry.
His famous catch-phrase, 'I wanna tell you a story...' was one of the many things his audience loved about him.
He emigrated to Australia from Bournemouth four years ago for a warmer climate to help his wife overcome her health issues.
Max Bygraves' son and daughter were present at his deathbed when the incident took place.
His son, Anthony said: ‘I only saw Dad two weeks ago.He became terribly frail but somehow I hoped he would see his 90th birthday.
‘It wasn’t to be. He just slipped away. We’re all terribly sad. It is hard to imagine a world without him but at least I saw him recently. I got a chance to give him a hug and be with him.
