Female MP turns up to Parliament wrapped in a duvet because she wasn’t feeling well.

A female MP was mocked by social media users for turning up at Parliament wrapped in a duvet. Photos of her wrapped inside the Chamber of Deputies in the capital of Santiago, Chile, were shared online and quickly went viral.

 

Karla Rubilar said that she wasn’t feeling well but did not want to miss the debate on a new law regarding university fees.

 

The MP defended herself on Twitter account saying: "I was sick, I had a fever, yet I still stayed during the whole debate, is that so questionable?"
