Lady Gaga has been named as the most played artist on UK radio this year.

The Poker Face singer has notched up 275,000 plays in the last 12 months, according to airplay monitoring body, Nielsen Music.

GagaÂ’s most played track on the airwaves was Bad Romance.

Nielson Music logs the songs played by radio stations in the UK, with the winner is announced at the annual Radio Festival in Manchester, during the Music Hall of Fame Dinner.

Last yearÂ’s winners were Take That.

Helena Kosinski, international marketing manager for Nielson Music, said:

“Lady Gaga has had phenomenal success during 2010, ratcheting up an enormous number of radio plays in the last year.

“With over 275,000 radio plays, Lady Gaga was clearly the front runner for this Award.”
