Supermodel Lily Cole has confirmed her pregnancy on her 'social giving network' impossible.com. She, together with her “impossible” partner Kwame Ferreira, are now preparing for the arrival of their first child together.
Ms Cole said: “The first known impossible baby is being born!”
“I met Kwame when I was in the process of developing Impossible and he offered the most profound gift, to help build the platform.
“After working together for a long time, Kwame and I fell in love, and I am very happy to share our news that we are expecting our first child together.”
Her announcement came with a picture of a toy dinosaur and a post-it note with words “I ah having a baby!” with the headline “Woman has (impossible) baby!”
Taking about her, “impossible” man, Cole said: “I had by last summer [2012] developed the concept quite a lot, but had had a complete disaster when it came to development,” she said.
“I had gone through two different agencies to try and build it. Both times it hadn’t worked and I thought, third time round, I’m going to try one more time then I’m going to give up.”
A friend then suggested that she meet up with Ferreira, an entrepreneur and investor, to discuss the project.
“A week later, he came back. Back in my apartment, at my table, he said, ‘We’re building it’. And I said, ‘Woah, woah, woah, we haven’t agreed anything yet.
“He was jumping. He said, ‘I took a long, hard look at myself in the mirror and I decided I have to do it as a gift, and it’s what I have to do’. He’s been doing it ever since.”
