Minnie Driver has confessed she loves her new pop star lifestyle - except for the stench of urine.

The British Hollywood beauty, who starts her first tour in her homeland next week, says the smell from rock and roll venues makes her sick.

The 'Phantom of the Opera' actress told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I liked everything about making movies and I love hanging around sets.

"But hanging around rock venues is just sort of stinky - smelling the stench of piss out of the poor people that were there 10 hours before you."

Meanwhile, Minnie has confessed she considered releasing her debut album, 'Everything I've Got In My Pocket', under a different name.

The star was worried people wouldn't be interested in buying a record made by an actress because previous musical attempts by movie stars have been so bad.

She explained: "The bar was tragically low for actors crossing over to music. I thought about releasing it under an alias at first. But then I thought: 'If this is about being real, then there's no point in subterfuge.'"
