Actress Liza Minnelli has been taken to hospital after falling out of bed at her Manhattan home.
The 58-year-old hit her head in the fall which happened in the early hours of Monday morning, People Magazine reports.
"She was sleeping and she rolled out of bed," the magazine quoted a police source as saying in an article on its website.
"She hit her head. Her bodyguard got nervous and he called 911. He said he couldn't get her up. She wasn't bleeding. She was on the floor," the source continued.
New York Police Department spokesman Sgt Gerry Falcon confirmed that the star has been taken to New York Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for the actress declined to comment.
Last month, Minnelli was sued by her former bodyguard and chauffeur M'Hammed Soumayah, after he accused her of battery and assault.
The daughter of actress Judy Garland has filed a counter-suit against Mr Soumayah's $100 million (52 m) claim.
In a separate court action, Minnelli is also counter-suing her estranged husband David Gest, who is suing the Cabaret star for $10 million (5.15m) following allegations that the singer beat him during drunken rages.
