Mikey new favourite for boot

Mikey is the new favourite to be evicted from the 'Big Brother' house this Friday (04.07.06).

Bookmakers around Britain have been flooded with substantial bets, some as big as £10,000, placed by punters after Mikey was seen arguing with his fellow housemates Jennie and Imogen.

Many clued-up viewers placed their bets after watching the rows unfold on the live feed when the odds on the Scouser being evicted were a generous 40/1.

Following the nominations this week, Susie was the hot favourite to get the boot, however, in an unexpected twist Mikey appears to have taken her place as the most unpopular contestant.

A 'Big Brother' spokesman said: "Events in the house often affect the viewers' opinions of the housemates."

Meanwhile, the house has been transformed into the Big Brother University for this week's shopping task.

To win a luxury food budget this week, housemates have to obtain 'degrees' in different subjects, including anatomy and English literature.

Susie, 43, found her Welsh language class a challenge after stumbling across an exceptionally long word.

She snapped: "This is ridiculous! One of the words in my book has 58 letters in it!"
