George Michael has been arrested for possessing cannabis after being found slumped at the wheel of his car - again.
The 'Fast Love' singer was discovered by police in a "semi-conscious state" in his Mercedes car at around 3.20am on Sunday morning (01.10.06), who rushed him to the Royal Free Hospital, in Hampstead, London.
Officers - who found a small amount of cannabis on Michael - were responding to calls made by angry motorists that a vehicle was obstructing a set of traffic lights in Cricklewood Lane, in North West London.
A source said: "An officer saw George slumped in his seat in a semi-conscious state. He was helped out of the car and an ambulance was called because there were real concerns for him."
After being released from hospital, the singer - who is just one week into his first world tour in fifteen years - was taken to nearby Colindale police station where he was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive and drug possession.
Michael was cautioned and released on police bail yesterday (01.10.06) afternoon. He is due to return on November 20 to find out if he will face charges.
The 46-year-old pop superstar's partner, Kenny Goss, said: "He has nothing to say. He's fine and I've got him a McDonald's."
The incident is reminiscent of a similar episode in February when the singer was found slumped at the wheel of his car near London's Hyde Park Corner and arrested on suspicion of possessing Class C drugs.
