McGregor slams 'Star Wars'

Ewan McGregor has astonishingly criticised sci-fi blockbuster 'Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones' branding it "unsatisfactory".

The Scottish actor, who starred as Jedi knight Obi Wan Kenobi in the George Lucas directed prequel, has revealed he was bitterly disappointed with the last film.

McGregor insists the battle sequences in the multi-million dollar movie didn't live up to expectations, and he was unhappy with his own fight scenes in the film.

He said: "The fighting in 'Episode II' was unsatisfactory, I think. I don't think the fight was nearly as good as it should have been and I certainly didn't have as big a crack of the whip as the first one."

However, the 34-year-old star insists fans will not be disappointed with the fight scenes in new movie, 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith'.

He explained to Britain's Total Film magazine: "I'm making up for it in number three. We fight our a***s off in that one."

In the third instalment of the popular franchise McGregor's character will battle a young Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen, on a lake of lava.

The 'Trainspotting' star previously landed himself in hot water with Lucas shortly after the release of 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace' after he branded it "disappointing and flat."
