Sir Paul McCartney has blasted rumours his wife has lost their second baby.
The Beatles star denies Heather Mills has suffered a miscarriage just a few months into her rumoured pregnancy.
But the pair have admitted they would like to try for a brother or sister for their 20-month-old daughter Beatrice sometime in the future.
A source told Britain's The People newspaper: "They had their sights set on celebrating the birth of their second child later this year.
"But the miscarriage has come as a terrible blow to them. Heather is now telling friends she will try for another child."
But, McCartney's spokesman refuted the claims, adding: "It's not true. She would like another child but they are happy and contented with their lives."
Earlier this month, Heather said at a party hosted by charity Breast Cancer Haven: "I've had six miscarriages and two ectopic pregnancies so I want to spend as much time with Beatrice as possible. She is a little miracle."
