'Coronation Street' beauty Maria Sutherland ditches boyfriend Tyrone Dobbs when he buys a rusty old van to sell fast-food.
Mechanic Tyrone dreams up the get-rich-quick scheme, and after making his mind up to go into business for himself tells his sexy girlfriend: "I want to be like Richard Branson."
But Maria, played by Samia Smith, is embarrassed by the whole idea - and things get worse when Tyrone announces he's going to call his new business 'Ty's Pies'.
When she sees the clapped out van, Maria tells Tyrone - played by Alan Halsall - their relationship is over.
She says: "You couldn't have shown me up more if you'd have dressed up as Postman Pat and asked me to drive round with you in a big red van!"
Her outrage leaves Tyrone with the dilemma of choosing between his money making venture or the love of his life.
A show insider told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "He will be torn between the venture and the girl he has always dreamed of marrying.
"At first he's convinced that if he makes a success of his burger van, Maria will come back to him. But she feels humiliated at such a ridiculous idea and isn't sure whether she wants to see his face again."
