Manchester-based rockstar Jeff Fletcher, the former guitarist in rock band Northern Uproar, was decapitated in a horrific accident with lorry it has now been revealed.
The 36-year-old was a pedestrian on Wellington Road South, Stockport centre, when he was hit by a lorry on Monday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a severe head injury.
Tributes have been paid to the guitarist following the horrific accident.
Friend Leon Meya of Herald Green, told the Manchester Evening News: “Jeff was a gentleman and my friend since the age of five, we grew up together and went through school.

"He made the sound of Northern Uproar, we were a great team.
“Jeff was recognised as a great guitarist, his guitar work was amazing.
"He was such a lovely caring bloke, I will miss a proper friend.”
