A Turkish man may have got himself into the record books by squirting milk out of his eye.
Ilker Yilmaz, a 28-year-old construction worker, poured milk into his hand, snorted it up his nose and squirted it 9.223 feet out of his left eye.
He hopes that the feat will be recognised by the Guinness Book of Records when organisers send in the required documents.
Mike Moraal of Vancouver, Canada, is credited with having set the existing record of 8.745 feet in France in 2001.
Guinness said that it had no official representative at the event but would welcome the new record if it was verified.
"I'm happy and proud that I can get Turkey in the record book even if it's for milk squirting," Yilmaz said.
Yilmaz says he is able to squirt liquids out of his eye because of an anomaly in his tear gland.
"I learned by chance that I had such a talent," Yilmaz said. "When I was swimming with friends, I noticed water squirting out of my eye.
"When I saw a previous Guinness attempt on TV, I thought, maybe, I could do that too."
