Madonna is reportedly trying for a second baby with husband Guy Ritchie - at the age of 47.

The pop diva - who has a five-year-old son, Rocco, with the filmmaker - allegedly hopes another child will help strengthen the couple's reportedly ailing five-year marriage.

The singer - who also has a nine-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship - agreed to try for a baby after Guy told her he wanted their son to have a younger brother or sister.

A source said: "They are more in love than ever and having another baby will cement their happiness."

Madonna and Guy have been at the centre of weeks of speculation that their relationship is on the rocks.

The pair's problems allegedly started after the star began spending more and more time with record producer Stuart Price - who masterminded her 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' album.

Sources close to the couple claimed the 'Hung Up' singer's "special working relationship" with Stuart was driving her and Guy apart.
