Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s cousin claims that the singer struggles to communicate with her French husband Jean-Bernard.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s cousin Tony claimed that the family of the X Factor Judge is concerned that there is a language barrier between her and her French husband Jean-Bernard.

 

Incidentally, Cheryl famously sang the hit Can’t Speak French during her time with pop group Girls Aloud.

 

Tony said: "Cheryl can't speak French. I'm told he speaks little English.

 

"What sort of relationship is it if she cannot speak French and he can't speak English? They may as well have a threesome with the interpreter."

 

He added: "The family think the marriage is over. When I asked if Cheryl was happy with him, they replied, 'Put it this way, I'll give it six months.' That was three months ago, and look what's happening."

 

However, a source close to Cheryl said that she had not been in contact with Tony for years.

 

On Friday, Cheryl celebrated Christmas with her family but it is unclear if she was also with her husband.

 

Writing on her Instagram page, she said: "Merry Christmas from a swaged out Santa (that's what happens when my nephew comes to stay) wishing you all a beautiful day full of love, laughter, health & happiness.”
