After conquering Mordor and death, one challenge remains for the man who played Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
Sir Ian McKellen has said the only thing that is left on his to-do list is to act on Coronation Street.
But despite being nominated for a best actor Oscar for his role in "Gods and Monsters", the actor is worried that he would not be good enough.
According to the Sun newspaper, when he was offered a part in the past he turned it down.
"They wrote me into Coronation Street, but I was so scared of going in and trying to be as good as the regulars I decided I wouldn't do it," he said.
But times are changing, and he said that he would love to be around for his character to comment on the Sarah-Todd-Karl love triangle
Sir Ian came out of the closet in 1988, and has been an active member of the gay rights movement ever since.
