Lindsay Lohan has confessed she dreamt of marrying Tom Cruise - her new 'Mission: Impossible 3' co-star.

The crush admission could spell trouble for the handsome actor's new love Katie Holmes.

Sexy Lohan has confirmed she is set to replace actress Scarlett Johansson in the action sequel, telling Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KIIS: "I'm definitely doing 'Mission: Impossible 3'. You are the first person I've told."

Meanwhile, Cruise, 48, recently admitted he was a big fan of Lohan's debut album, 'Speak'.

The Hollywood heavyweight was said to be so overwhelmed by the music he has even asked her to record a track for the movie.

A source close to Lohan said: "Tom's mightily impressed with her as an all-round package. He wants her to supply high-octane rock music for some of the action sequences of the new film."

Last year, Lohan confessed Cruise was her first love and as a young girl dreamt of marrying the 'Top Gun' star.
