Lindsay Lohan has officially completed her probation, it has been confirmed.
The troubled actress returned to court for the final time on 29 March for the hearing, where Judge Stephanie Sautner announced that Lohan had officially completed her probationary period.
Judge Sautner said:
"Ms Lohan has done everything she was ordered to do... probation terminates today. Now.
"She was given one year to complete it all and she has completed it short of a year, and she has done everything that this court has asked of her."
"You've paid all your fees, paid more than you should've, but that's between you and [the probation department]. I wouldn't go asking for a refund."
The judge added:
"The only terms left for you on that case are to obey all laws. It's not that hard. I know it's kind of hard when people are following you around all the time, but that's the life you chose."
Lohan thanked Sautner for her support, saying:
"I just want to say thank you, Your Honour, for being fair, and it's really opened a lot of doors for me, so I really appreciate it."
A spokesman for Lohan told the Daily Mail that:
"Lindsay has closed this chapter of her life and is looking forward to the next one, which has gotten off to a great start with Glee and Liz & Dick.
"She is focused on getting back to work and is ready to dive right into her next project."
