Last month, Lindsay Lohan was reportedly planning on filing a lawsuit against Grand Theft Auto games makers because a vapid, unreliable Hollywood actress character in the new Grand Theft Auto (GTA) game bore too much of a resemblance to her. Now, it has emerged that the actress has officially filed the case in New York court.
Lohan claims that the character Lacey Jonas, who is one of the protagonists that lead character Michael helps flee a film set, was made with her in mind.
Jonas blurts out lines like: "I am so f*cking fat, oh my God they cannot get a shot of me," and (ironically) "Don't hurt them, I don't need any more lawsuits!”
Lohan isn’t the first celebrity look or sound-alike who was seen in the game. Other characters to appear include those who look like Tupac and even Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Meanwhile, gaming company Rockstar always maintains that any likenesses are coincidental and the law states that parodies are often legally safe.
